Default 1993 EZGO Marathon Project

Been looking at this forum ever since I bought my $600 project cart a couple months ago. Lots of great information.

I have made the following upgrades to my: 1993 EZGO Marathon 36v Electric.

Motor: D&D 170-006-0001
Controller: Alltrax Axe 4844 (400amp)
Solenoid: M2J-200D
HD F&R switch
Jakes lift
22inch tires
2/0 gauge battery cables
2 gauge everything else

Question... Can anyone draw or take a picture of the wiring. This is my first golf cart and I want to make sure I have everything wired up correctly. I have found a few diagrams online, but they seem very complicated.

thanks for any help

I'm assuming the fact that you have an AXE that it's a series cart? If so, Alltrax's website has a wiring diagram for your controller. The only thing that may be different is the "control" wires to the controller. I had to cut off the stock plug and put on spade connectors. If I recall, all of the colored wires shown on Alltrax's schematic matched my stock wiring.

Thanks, Having a difficult time getting the controller to be identified on my computer to reprogram it. Anyone have a diagram of the HD FR switch?

Also, I put 2" spacers on all the wheels. When I drive for a little distance the lugs start backing off... both from the hub/spacer and spacer/wheel. I put some blue loctite but do I need to put any kind of washers?

I know these questions must come off as basic to all the experienced people on here, but this is my first cart/project of any kind... and I am hooked.

Thanks

Yes, I checked the diagrams. I just called Nivel, since the new HD F&R switch came from them and the tech support said that since my original F&R had the double micro switch on one side, I would have to have it on the new HD F&R. Is this correct or can I rig up the new switch as-is some how?

Two issues identified:

1. Controller not being seen by software.
a. Make sure controller is powered-up (Green LED on steady) before launching Controller Pro software.
b. Not all USB to Serial adapters work with Controller-Pro software.

Alltrax website has some good info on how to connect.

2. The double microswitch was used to power a 6V reverse beeper in earlier carts. Upgrade to a 36V (or whatever pack voltage) beep and fed it in parallel the the 1/2 speed reverse wire to the controller.
