2004-2010 Club Car Precedent difference?

If buying a club car precedent to do a custom build with, what would the difference be in buying an 04 or a 2010?
Obviously the batteries, but if they are going to be replaced and the cart torn down to the frame and custom built lift,new motor, new controller,new batteries. What would be the best bet the 04 for a good price or the 2010?

Both carts are 48v, but the 2004 comes with 4-12v batteries and the 2010 comes with 6-8v batteries. The 8v batteries are more durable and have longer run times (according to most). There are also many more options to purchase 8v rather than the 12v batteries.

Looks like you have an 07. Was it a 6 battery setup or a 4?

It was 4, but did the 6-8v conversion.

I am not sure yet, he said they had carts starting at $2,200. Or get the lifted 2010 with wheels and all just without the performance mods for $4000 but it's got 2010 batteries so that kind of scares me
