Sorry about the pic. Didn't mean for it to be as big as Texas. I can't edit it now or I would.

We run 1/8th only. We had 196kw last year with a best of 8.31 @ 80.00mph. Have 480kw this year. Making the first passes next Saturday weather permitting.

Seriously, going form 36v to 48 is an amazing transformation. I remember the permagrin the frist time I hit the throttle when I did my PDS cart.
I don't know what's more impressive- the fact that you are running 240V, or the fact that you found a DVM to measure all the way up to 240 V DC.

I actually push the voltage up over 300v on the chargers. I did have to special order the DVM and wait for it to be produced. It will read up to 348v. Took about 8 weeks to get it from Datel but it's worked perfectly.

We pretty much video every pass both from the GoPro on the cage above my head and my wife at the starting line so there will be plenty of video assuming there is something worth showing.

Nice! What kind of charger do you use to charge 240v?

Looks like a good charger but our issue at the track is that I only have a limited amount of time to charge between rounds so I need maximum amp and voltage output. I have all of our cart chargers jumped internally so 100% of the current produced by the transformers are going out to the batteries so I have to monitor closely. I'm currently running 4 - 48v chargers and 1 - 36v charger in a series string on the initial recharge and then switching out one of the 48v chargers for a 36v to finish the charge cycle once we get up to about 280v. That latter setup actually produces 305v @ 15 or so amps. In my driveway/neighborhood testing it appears that we will be able to charge back to 100% (300v on the charger then resting at about 262v) in about 20 minutes after a run which is comparable time wise with what we were doing last year on 192v with 4 - 48v chargers. I use multiple Odyssey 6 amp chargers to maintain the individual batteries in the pack in-between races.

Wow that sounds like an expensive setup!
