txt or pds?
im new to golf carts. ive read up a lot on them. though im surely not a pro,all you guys have led me to believe I can do a lot of the work
myself(with alot of advice from you guys). I want to go electric. Probably ezgo. ive been trying to find a cart from 2006 to 2010. I find they are around the 2000.00 2500.00 range. I plan on lifting and adding large tires later. I need a speed of no lower than 18-20 mph. My question is......I see a lot more txt's around here than I do PDS that are in that price range. Is the txt a good cart to build from or should I search out the right pds? which will give me more power,or are they both capable of modifying into a cart I want? thanks and God bless |

Re: txt or pds?
The TXT is the model of the cart, the PDS is the drive system, a PDS cart is a nice cart, if you great a PDS cart and you are going to lift it, you will need to upgrade the controller

Re: txt or pds?
An alltrax 400 or 500 amp controller and some 22" 23" tires will get you 20 MPH or a little more, what do you want to use the cart for?

Re: txt or pds?
With a PDS system running 23"s and a Alltrax 400, you should get 23-24 mph. I got 24.5mph with that exact setup on mine and that's with a backseat to. My PDS is a 2010. Hope this helps with your decision.

Re: txt or pds?
Man I'm going to be disappointed if an Alltrax 400 only gains me 1.5 mph over stock. It is probably worth the money to just jump to the 500 and be done with it. I've heard of people getting 24 mph with just 18" tires.

No, I was under the impression that you already had an Alltrax 400 amp controller. If you have not purchased a controller yet, you can always buy the 500 amp and tune it back a bit if full 500 A is too much for you.
