Default 97 txt dcs problem

Just bypassed the reed switch and when I turn key on the buzzer turns on and stays on until I press pedal then stops but no movement in f/r. If I turn it back to neutral it stops. When I press pedal I hear the solenoid click but that's it. I took cover off to inspect solenoid and found that one of the cables running to motor was burnt completely off. On one side at the big post. And a little bit burn at the run/tow switch but still intact. Waiting on a new solenoid, replaced cable already. Is this make sense to anyone?

Last time I saw one like that was after someone had towed a cart with the Run/Tow in Run. Melted the solenoid and cooked the wire. Possible ? The symptoms you are having are pointing towards a fried controller..

So once the solenoid is replaced and I turn the ignition on if I hear the buzzer in any position besides reverse it's my controller?

Not saying that 100%. If you are getting the reverse buzzer in F and R, I would check to make sure your FnR micro switches are working properly. If so, I know the PDS cart controller is what tells the buzzer to come on so I am assuming the DCS is similar. That said, if it is alarming all the time it has is dues.

I want to say it's going off in neutral as well.

It sounds like the controller is ALWAYS in reverse regardless of the directional switch input then?

Ok installed new solenoid. Hooked batteries back up waited to switch to run then turned on ignition. That's when beeping started in any position. It will stop beeping if I switch to tow or by pressing pedal. Any ideas?

This all started right after you bypassed the reed switch, where did you run that line to?
