Default 1987 ez-go what its worth

I have a chance to buy a 1987 or 1988 battery operated EZ-GO cart..it does need new batterys and has been setting for a year but was serviced by a ez go dealer before it was put up.the man has all paper work from the dealership that serviced it before he parked it...and comes with a new 36 volt charger...so what is a good price to offer since I can not drive it.I know this is a hit or miss deal so please help me.it has been stored on blocks and in a barn for 3 years..Help me

Being that it's pretty old and parts are a bit more limited, needs batteries... I would low ball him maybe for $300 tops. How's the body, need replacement parts that you can see etc. What are your plans to do with with it as far as fixing it up? I picked up a gas 88 ez go for $50 but it does need some parts, needs some light body work and paint. I sold the motor out of it and doing a big block swap. My plans are to make it how I want it and try to keep it as low priced as possible. But, I'll be spending over 1k over time I'm sure. Batteries for you are going to cost quite a bit if buying new. I'm not sure how much but could be $600-$800. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I guess it's a matter of how much you want to sink into something that you can't be sure of its in good running condition or not. Running with batteries and in good shape it might be worth $1000-$1500 would be my guess. But I'm no pro and don't know as much as some here do. Maybe someone else can chime in give you more detail!
