Front End Alignment Complications - 2012 club car precedent
Hi all
I aquired a golf cart that has a front driver-side tire that looks totally normal, but the front passenger-side tire is about 10 degrees open (I.e. when looking at the cart, the driver's side tire faces me directly, the passenger side tire is trying to steer the cart to my left). Additionally, the top of the passenger-side tire is closer to the golf cart than the portion of the tire that is touching the ground. I was told they replaced all of the front bushings about 6 months ago. I've done some research, but for it to be the canter, it seems like any adjustment would affect both tires, unless the leaf spring is two separate pieces. And for toe-ing in/out, everything I saw said that you need to adjust both sides at the same rate. If I toed it in, can I only do the passenger side without causing any other issues? I think that would solve the 10 degrees open portion. But any ideas on why the canter would be off on one tire, but not the other? Thank you all! |

Re: Front End Alignment Complications - 2012 club car precedent
I've had members hit curbs at the club and bend the control arm on the flat out 10-20°. Another thing, with one wheel straight and the other out can be the control arm bushings on that side only. If bushings were rep[aced with the Amazon Chinese version, they will not last very long. I had two straight installs that went bad in less that a month with them. I learned my lesson, now back to Club Car OEM bushings only. If you get new bushings from David at Revolution Golf Cars, ask him to sell you two good control arms with the bushing kit. He has plenty left over from lift kits on new carts. That's my two cents.
