Default Overhead console ideas

I welcome any ideas for an overhead console that I would like to fabricate.

Right now I am thinking of including dome / interior lights and a display for a backup camera. A backup camera may sound odd, but I am old with back problems.

I already have the stereo mounted in the dash - and wish to keep it there. I'm thinking a very small overhead console that I can 3D print.

I welcome any ideas. Here is the basic design that would hug the interior roof line contour of my 2008 EXGO TXT (attempting to attach a pic):

I welcome any ideas, thanks in advance.

Cart specs:
Year = 2008
Make = EZGO
Model = TXT
Drive = Electric

we need to have an overhead console that can hold a SBR or AR15 pistol.

that would be awesome

Thanks @coldair I did leave that question open-ended LOL.

As an update, the overhead console finished printing last night. I have a switch to control the dome lights. I also have the LCD screen, for the backup camera, but the bezel is printing right now. I plan to paint everything black to match the other plastic items on my TXT. Wiring it up this morning.

Here are some pix:

Thanks @TheNewGuy.

FWIW, my neighbor suggested adding an automotive style rearview mirror. Bought one at local AutoZone for $10.

Added the mounting bracket to the overhead console, which is color-coded in pic below (pink component).

Update, it's finally painted and ready for installation. Includes the backup camera's LCD bezel and the rearview mirror mounting bracket.

I ran all the wires inside the metal front roof support (guessing there is a better term for that). Plan to spend today installing it, finally.

Thanks swb713. PS We must be a lot alike given your interests listed on your profile (ie finding stuff to build) - that's me too LOL.

Update: It's finally installed (never say complete, as I will perpetually tweak when new ideas come along). I welcome new ideas.

It was much simpler to install than I thought. Pros around here probably have better methods, but using a fish tape, it only took minutes to install.

The backup camera works great. The version I have also provides onscreen the distance from an object when backing up. Kind cool...but I cannot find the link where I bought it, to share. Argh. Any standard automotive backup camera would work anyway.

Below are pix of the installation. The blue tape is temporary to provide me the center mark for installation. I propped up the roof w/ the 2x4.
