I would love to go that fast, but after just purchasing the cart, i don’t think my pockets will let me. Im sure they will over time, but right now I’m shooting for the 4/500$ upgrade. I think ilooked at the baracuda set-up and if memory serves me right, it was around 1600$. Not quite ready for that yet

do the controller first, if memory serves me right my motor was 725. I was able to get to 31 mph with 23 tires and the controller in my signature

Thanks for your response!! Greatly appreciated!!

Well if you had said for a RXV instead of a TXT then yes a controller will help it but only because they don't set them for full speed from EZGO. Most people don't want 30MPH golf carts!
The TXT & RXV models are totally different animals all together. A TXT is a DC motor & controller where the RXV is a AC motor & controller. Totally different carts.

U mentioned a custom built motor before. In your opinion, is that the only way i can get to 27/28mph with a TXT?

Noooo.. You mentioned in another post that you had a 6” lift. I am assuming you have larger than stock tires.. Alltrax with stock tires will be around 23-24. Larger tires should get you to 27-28.

There again I thought it was for a TXT not a RXV.
No the motor alone will not get you where you want to go.

My 04 PDS TXT cart can run up to 38MPH by myself but it's hard on the system so I have it turned down to about 27MPH in it's present form which is with a Navitas 48 volt 600 amp AC controller & motor for it with blue tooth. My wife & kids drive this cart also so the max is not a good idea. It was a $2000.00 upgrade. My speed, braking and acceleration are all adjustable. This with 23" tires and lifted. With it set to max it will pull the front tires off the ground.
