Anyone SEEN or HAVE one of these? -- HITACHI GOLF CART
Anyone seen one of these around?
It's a HITACHI golf cart. I'm looking for ANY info I can find. Really need to know what kind of key switch (and the connections to it) it used. A pic of the back of the key switch would be GREAT! Let me know if you have seen one around, or can help. It runs for about 5 seconds, then shuts down. It has an electric throttle, 2 wheel drive, 4 wheel brakes (with a differential in the front only for braking). It was also designed to run on a "magnetic cart path". |

Re: Anyone SEEN or HAVE one of these? -- HITACHI GOLF CART
There is one of these for sale listed on Craigslist.org in Ventura Ca. Feb 18, 2012. He's ben trying to sell this unit for years, but won't budge on price. A golf cart dealer by trade even though he lists as he isn't. Looks like an earlier model but wiring should be the same. I saw one of these at an auction and was amazed that all the writting on the engine components was in Japanese! Must be made in Japan... Duh.... If you can find any other manual info, I'd like to know about it. Went searching last year for a manual and was told didn't exist and thus passed on buying this cart. Good luck.

Looks like a scale model of a 70's model VW van. Very unique!

Re: Anyone SEEN or HAVE one of these? -- HITACHI GOLF CART
I have a HIC-863.
Might be the one you had. I had to install an ignition switch. If you still have one, then you don’t have mine. Part number below Golf cart ignition switch For HITACHI 3 line start w/ 6896 keys 50081240 19025 I do want to convert mine. I have gotten rid of all the sensors. I now want to wire it up with out the programmed pc. Would like to wire with just the 1244 Curtis controller, reversing solenoid, f/r switch and figure out how to install a new pot box If anyone knows? I am not sure where to begin. |
