Re: Club car surges
It's not permanent. It's a pay me now or pay me later fix.

Re: Club car surges
What is not permanent, did I fix the mcor or the speed sensor?

Re: Club car surges
Neither...
You just helped to clean the contact surfaces as shown in the pictures attached. Your MCOR is a sealed unit and they do go bad, mostly with the Micro switch inside. Neither has anything to do with your speed sensor. |

Re: Club car surges
I just read another post from a guy that said he left the key in the off position and he hit the go pedal 20 times and it worked for him to get rid of the surge. I was told to do it with the key in the ON position and in neutral and it seem to work for me so will it really work with the key in the off position also?

Re: Club car surges
The key has nothing to do with cleaning the film off the wiper. It would work on or off f n r just would move the cart some if in f or r and the key was on. Like stated above you are just doing the same thing as turning a radio knob back and forward to help with static.

Re: Club car surges
FWIW, I just tried it on my HuntVe and it worked. Key on, put in Neutral, and pump the throttle. It's now smooth again. I guess I could have just worked the gunk off the contacts but sure seemed to get all the gunk off the entire sweep of the throttle. Anyhow, thanks!
