Default Ez go txt pds running slow

Hey i recently bought a 2009 ezgo txt pds and was told it stopped running. I first changed the batteries and charged and it would surge then stop and give it say ten seconds and you could push the gas and make it do it again. Changed the solenoid and now runs but at very slow speed. Ive checked the connections everywhere. I looked at the speed sensor magnet and cleaned. Ive tried to test the ITS and im showing a constant 14.4 volts even with the pedal not pushed. I need help this is my first cart and im not experienced at all with golf carts.

Hello & welcome to bgw
14v indicates either a bad ITS or an open circuit (broken wire or bad connection)

Thanks for the welcome..so that would make it run half speed i take it. So i should ohm out each wire from its to plug? If that checks out good i need to order a new its? If that doesnt fix it where should i turn next?

I would suspect the speed sensor or sensor wires next.

Isn't the ITS like $9. How much is speed sensor?

Did you do the test Scotty said to do to see if it was bad?

It is easy to test to see if a speed sensor is bad. Do the test before you replace it.
