I goofed and I know better........
I made a mistake when I was installing a new led voltage meter on my '95 ez go. I should have disconnected the battery before I began. As I was hooking it up , the negative lead from the state of charge meter touched the positive lead on the key switch . Oops.
I connected everything back together and turned on the key switch and nothing worked. I replaced a blown fuse and now my horn and headlights work. The solenoid doesn't click and I don't see any voltage on my state of charge meter or the new led meter. What's the next thing to check ? |

Well, that's main battery positive and main battery negative touching one another, not good as you already know.
Run a Bypass on the reed switch in the charge receptacle plug, see if the cart will run. If your lucky that's all you took out. |

That fixed it. Does that reed switch need to be replaced?
is it vital? |

Re: I goofed and I know better........
No it don't need to be replaced. But with the reed switch bypassed. You can drive off in the cart while the charger is plugged in with it bypassed. Run the charger cord through the steering wheel and plug it in to the cart, so you can't get in the cart with the charger plugged in and drive away. And rip the plug/cord out of the charger
