Default 2006 EZGO TXT PDS 36V - ITS v reading issue -Controller bad?

Hello, I have a 2006 PDS 36v that appears to be all stock. The cart normally runs great and has never left me stranded. New batteries last month.

However, on 4 occasions this weekend (after the golf cart sat for a few hours) I press the accelerator and it won't move (no solenoid click). Rev beeps but won't move either.

I went through the troubleshooting steps from the manual and the only thing out of spec is the ITS readings when it doesn't want to move.

When cart is working normally, I have a pedal range of 14.07v to 13.39v at the white wire to the ITS and the black wire range is 1.07v to 3.00v.

When the cart doesn't want to move, I have 14.48v at the white wire to the ITS and the black wire is a constant .28v regardless of pedal position.

If I wait and try it again later (sometimes 5 minutes or a few hours) it will work just fine. I also disconnected the negative terminal last night and it worked fine immediately afterwards when I put it in run.

Does it sound like the controller is going bad or the ITS? Is there anything else I can test?

I checked continuity between the pedal box wires and the connector and everything is fine. Also, the pedal box is completely dry and clean.

I don't have any spare parts to test.

Thanks for your help.

14v indicates a bad ITS or a broken wire. Test the white wire for continuity, if no continuity check the wire harness plug between the ITS unit and the controller for corrosion/ water problems. If wire has continuity and ITS is not wet, replace ITS unit.

Thanks Scottyb. I replaced the ITS yesterday morning and the voltage is now within spec. Cart hasn't died since.
