ezgo txt rear end grinding

I have a 99 ezgo txt in the rear somewhere there is a grinding clicking noise so first I changed brake pads and still same noise then I just took out the 2 axles figuring it was the bearings but they don't look to bad so what's next rear end gears

I would remove the motor and check the input shaft bearings and the motor itself before going any farther.

I had a similar sound. Mine ended up being the pin in the spider gear sliding out and beating my gear set to death slowly for months.
