E.R.I.C Charger not working.

I just acquired a couple of 2014 Precedent that have the new E.R.I.C charge system. One of the chargers immediately gives the red fault code after it cycles once plugged in. I switched them around and the good charger works good on both carts, and the bad one is bad on both carts. What are my options? Are they repairable? Can they be bypassed to use a dpi charger? I haven't been able to find much on them.

Charger should carry a 4 year warranty. Call the closest dealer and see if they can help. You definitely don't want to have to buy an ERIC charger. $$$$$$$$$

Our 2016 fleet of Precidents have ERIC chargers. When the carts were about 6 months old the chargers started going out. When CC had replaced about half of the chargers, they sent someone in to reprogram (Reflash) the chargers for the whole fleet. We have only had to have them replace 1 since then.

Thanks, I'll check on warranty. If not, I read in another post that it could be replaced with the non OBC DPI charger with no modification needed. Is that correct?

Yes. A DPI or a Lester Summit charger will work fine.

Just to verify, The Lester summit charger fro Nivel will work with the 2014 JE Club Cars without any modification?

Yes. But I don't condone purchasing from Nivel.
