Yes I actually had an auto electric shop put the motor back together because I was having problems setting the brushes.

Re: 2002 Electric CC IQ speed magnet mistake
Is there a way to check if the brushes were set properly? I know I couldn't get them to set so I couldn't get the cover on all the way and that's why I brought it to the electric mechanic and he assembled it for me saying that was the prob I was having

Remove the wires from the motor and do a continuity test between A1 and F2 and again from A2 and F2. Let me know what you get. If you get continuity on both tests, the motor should work and you may need a controller.

Re: 2002 Electric CC IQ speed magnet mistake
I didn't get anything when I checked both tests. The multimeter stayed at 1 on both tests and I had it set to 200 ohms. It should have went towards 0 if there was continuity, correct?

Yes, Your brushes aren't touching the armature. Take it back to the motor shop and tell them to do their job.
