I hear ya. Up here $600 gets you a stripped or rotted out "pile", unless you are really lucky. Would need a rake and shovel to make sure you got it all.

Remove all cables from the motor; connect a jumper from A1 to F1 and a jumper from A2 to F2. Connect 12 to 24 volts, positive @ A1/F1 and negative @ A2/F2. Swap F1 and F2 to change rotation direction.

NOTE: some Sep-Ex motors are labeled S1 & S2 in place of F1 & F2

CAUTION:

Allowing a motor to spin @ high RPM can cause catastrophic failure! Only do this test with the motor bolted to the rear end

Put vehicle in TOW mode before attempting testing process if vehicle has TOW switch . . .

That is the way it is here. I was ecstatic to find my 2 TXTs for $1400. All they needed were batteries and one needed a F/R switch too. Thanks to my work, I got a smoking deal on 12 batteries so I am in both carts for $2200. They look decent and do need some minor maintenance work still but I can at least still use them while doing the work a little at a time. If need arises, I can sell 1 or both and make some money. My original plan was to sell 1 to cover the cost of the other but the wife and I decided to keep them both- 1 for the kids and 1 for us when we go camping so no one is stuck without one.

North Georgia is probably the cheapest place to buy carts.

Not sure about that. I have been looking for deals on carts for quite a while and they are few and far between. Everyone thinks it is worth gold.

A local here has a lifted early 2000s TXT with large tires and wheels that is in operating condition for $1K. I told him to come to this site and offer it for sale a few days ago.

My understanding is EZ-GO's largest factory is in Georgia. I don't know how many golf courses are in Commerce, but you are not too far from metro Atlanta, and if the saving's good enough, just trailer it home.
