throttle loss of power?
Does anyone know why the throttle on my 91 ezgo marathon cuts power to motor about 3/4 of the way depressed?
It just started doing this? as long as i dont go past 3/4 of the way down i get full power, is there an adjustment? |

Re: throttle loss of power?
The potentiometer (pot) is going over the of the controller's range. If you have an ohm Ω meter and skills you can adjust the meter or it may simply be time for a new one considering it's probably the original 26 yrs old device.
Adjustment should be 0-5k (5000). 200 - 5800 is usually the tolerable range, with 5800 giving the same result as 4800 because wide open throttle is wide open throttle. No advantage to going over 5000 |
