PDS "Freedom" Chip
Considering buying the freedom chip for my 2005 PDS. Has anyone installed one of these and is it worth the $15?

Re: PDS "Freedom" Chip
Will get you between 18-20mph under OPTIMUM conditions. Torque is not affected. Certainly worth the $15 although in the past I have seen these for as little as $5. It's a jumper wire actually, not a "chip".

I was unsure what to call it. Anyone have a link to where to get one?

Re: PDS "Freedom" Chip
Amazon has them for various prices and shipping costs. If you want to be super cheap a couple paperclips and some hot glue works too.

Re: PDS "Freedom" Chip
There's a procedure to install. Simple but I don't remember it. If it doesn't come with instructions search the forum.

Re: PDS "Freedom" Chip
Ez Go has a you tube video out about how to do it.
Make sure key is off, Lock the brake. 1. Disconnect negative battery cable from the controller 2. Remove 4 bolts on controller cover 3. Plug in personality plug into designated port. If a plug is present remove it first 4. Replace the cover, attach the negative battery cable, Done |
