Tire size with stock controller
I saw this in the gas EZGO thread, and had a question.
So, how big of tires can a stock 2012 EZGO TXT controller comfortably handle? It's a Curtis 1206 in freedom mode. Runs almost 20mph with stock tires, and pulls a pretty decent grade with very little speed drop. |

Re: Tire size with stock controller
18" are stock.......anything above that will effect the performance of the cart. even a little, but how much can it handle? that's a totally different question....but unless you upgrade the drive system, you will loose some performance the bigger the diameter of the tires.

Re: Tire size with stock controller
Thanks Sir Nuke.
Maybe a better approach would be to ask if anyone currently has or has had a 48V PDS with the Curtis 1206 in freedom mode with 22" tires on it. How did it perform? What happened to top speed on hills and flats? |
