Default 2001 PDS has intermitent loss of power

Take off and driving along 80 percent of the time the cart is fine ,once in a while when driving in forward motion it will loose power and the buzzer will beep beep beep beep then it will take off again?? Bad ITS or Speed sensor?

Sounds like a speed sensor or the speed sensor connection.

Can the 2001 be put in the diagnostic mode? If so see what beep code it puts out.

Could also be a loose connection in the keyswitch or F/R switch circuits.

Change the F/R switch or shut off the keyswitch while moving and you'll get a rapid beeping.

Text at bottom of attached PDS controller cover label tells you how and lists error codes.
