Default Speed Magnet VS Alltrax

I tried searching but couldn’t find a comparison. I recently purchased a 2007 IQ Precedent. Pretty much the first thing I did after I got it was start googling how to make it go faster which led me here, and then to buy one of ScottyB’s magnets. Made a big improvement and I’m getting about 19ish mph out of it now. Curiosity has got the best of me and I am wondering how much of an improvement an Alltrax 400 controller would be? Tires are stock as is pretty much all the rest of it. I like the idea of being able to play with speed vs torque, but seems like it will be a small upgrade based on the cost. Just curious what the thoughts are of those who have tried both.

25 mph range with right motor and solenoid. 500 will get you upwards of 29-30 plus.

What do you get with stock? From what I read it was 25 mph stock and just went up from there with new motor, solenoid, and cables.

With an Alltrax 400 controller the biggest thing you will notice is acceleration, some people can it torque. The max speed you can realistically expect is 24-25mph. If you live in a hilly area you would need to also upgrade your motor. Stock motors are flat land motors.

Generally with a XCT400 the IQ gains 35% more torque and tops out at 23 mph depending upon tire size and air pressure. 35% more torque will push you back in the seat somewhat and spin the tires in loose footing. It's kinda fun
