Default Ezgo 48 volt golf cart won't move

I have a 2008 Rxv golf cart can not move it in tow. Solenoid does not click. It has been charged has new batteries. Any ideas where I should start checking first?

Did you turn the key on and set it to ON/N (Neutral)?

If it's the original 2008 motor brake, check that the brake lever on the end of the motor is in the correct position. That can cause the powerup test to fail. Otherwise, there is a fuse on the underside of the plastic cover that the run/tow switch is on. It's under a cap that is attached to the cover, release the catch and pull the plug out of the cap, the fuse is in the end of the plug.

Also, any time you disconnect or reconnect battery cables on an RXV, the run/tow switch needs to be in tow mode and the keyswitch turned off. Otherwise you can mess up your controller.

I've already checked the fuse by the tow switch. Set the key to nuetral position. Switch is in tow setting. Replaced the ignition switch. I understand from what I have read I should have voltage back to the brakes there is nothing there as well.

Check the run plug under the cupholder and the brake switch at the brake pedal. The pack voltage to the brake flows through both of those. Unplug and replug the run plug to wipe the contacts. Remove the rocker panels on both sides, take out the floor mat, and the pedal assemblies cover. Unplug the brake switch where it ties into the harness back near where the harness goes under the body below the charger port. Use an ohmmeter (DigitalMultiMeter) and check for continuity, which should open circuit when you press the brake pedal most of the way. If it does not work, replace the brake switch. Good luck!

Do you have factory "gas gauge with a needle" meter next to keyswitch? Do you have head/tail lights?
