Replacing the solenoid in a TXT PDS
I'm pretty sure the solenoid has gone out on one of my carts. I don't hear any click when I press the pedal. My model info:
Model TXT PDS Date Code B0310 Serial 2677772 Any idea how to interpret that date code? Is it possible to install a solenoid that is compatible with 36 and 48 volts, in case I want to do the conversion later on? Looking for any suggests for performance enhancements. |

Re: Replacing the solenoid in a TXT PDS
Chances are the solenoid is okay. The PDS controller supplies both B+ (Yellow wire from J1 Pin-7) and B- (Blue wire from J1 Pin-6) to the solenoid and all the wires highlighted in red on the attached schematic has to have battery pack voltage (38.2V for a fully charged 36V pack) on them for the solenoid to click.

Re: Replacing the solenoid in a TXT PDS
The cart cut off on me as I was going up a steep hill.
I'm only reading 18 volts out of my batteries. However, when I remove the battery lead from the positive terminal, I read 22 volts. Do I have a leaky resistor maybe? |
