Slow EZGO Marathon
I have a 1981 EZGO Marathon Three wheeler. It is running slow as can be. Batteries are two years old, they are topped off with distilled water, i have cleaned all the terminals, and properly torqued all the terminal nuts to 95 inch pounds. I did have six gauge wire in it but they kept getting hot and melting post. Golf cart ran fine with 6 gauge wiring other than getting hot. I've switched out all the wires on batteries to 4 gauge wire, replaced all the boards and switches, solenoid, and rear coil. The only thing left is wires from boards to coil the brushes and to relube the rearend. What could it be mAking it slower now than before?

Re: Slow EZGO Marathon
One thing you might try. Can you push it easily with one hand on a level surface. That would let you know about brakes dragging and your differential like you mentioned. And how slow is slow. For a golf cart that old I'd expect no more than 8-10 mph.

Re: Slow EZGO Marathon
It's a crawl. It's slower than a brisk walk.
