Default Re: ERIC Update Issues

Algorithm 1 is a temperature compensated algorithm, which requires a temp sensor connected to the charger to work properly. The ERIC version of the charger doesn't have the ability to use a temp sensor, so Alg 1 works, but it's not ideal.

Alg #3 is the correct one to use for Trojan batteries with the ERIC charger.

There are some chargers that need to be updated in order to allow profile changes via the USB port. I don't know which versions those were, you would have to contact Delta-Q tech support and ask them. They should be able to send you the firmware update to correct those issues.

Thank you! It’s 7am here in China. I’ll try to change the profiles to #3 right now. Still waiting for a response from Delta-q about the firmware.

Successfully updated all of the charge profiles to Algorithm 3. Thanks for the info, I would have never known otherwise. The “distributor” here just sells us carts and batteries. Terrible service and tech assistance.
