Default Brake light issue Madjax

Hey all,

I recently installed the light upgrade kit for my golf cart, and have all the lights and horn working, but am unable to get the brake pad to work. I have secured it to the brake and have triple checked the wiring. Is there something finicky I am missing on the installation? I feel like it's pretty easy to secure the pad to the brake pedal and plug the wires in....

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a club car precedent 2015

Did you hook up the 48 volt relay behind the dash? It needs to be there and you need to make sure your car is in the RUN position with the key switch ON, or else the brake lights will not work at all.

Yes, I went ahead and hooked everything up both underneath the floor board with the wires as well as behind the dash. I installed everything that came with the package. Every light seems to work but those... could it have something to do with sensitivity of the pad on the pedal?

Test to make sure you’ve got 48 volts at the relay and 12volts post relay. Also double, check the brake switch timer assembly.

Does the relay click when you turn the keyswitch on?
