Custom rims and lug thread depth

Ok, I have been installing lift kits on many carts and always burning in the back of my mind is the lugs on the custom rims. Meaning does anyone have a concern about how many threads the lug nut is actually using or screwing onto the hub stud?
The new custom rims flangers where the rim sets against the hub say on a 14” rims I’d much thicker than on a stock 8” rim. And therefore the lug nut does not grab very many threads when tightened.
Can anyone tell me if they experienced rims coming loose?

Rule of thumb, not just for golf carts. Any fastener should at least cover the threads.
Other words when you tighten lug nut you want at least a tread or more exposed past nut once tightened.
Example 1/2” diameter stud should have fastener engage at least 1/2” of threads if not more. Not screwed on where lug nut has threads still inside nut and not extended past nut.
