Default Ezgo pds rattle in the rear

2001 pds. While driving it everything is good when accelerating or driving at a set speed. When you let off the pedal, there’s a rattle/rumble somewhere in the rear. Can’t tell if it’s from a wheel or the rear. Anyone had this problem?

Greetings,

Saw no one has replied......

Could be any number of things so If it were me, I'd put it on stands and see if you can localize the offending rattle. If no noise on stands then maybe you've likely narrowed it down to something in the suspension vs drive train.

HTH.

Good luck.

Last time we saw this it turned out to be a severely worn input shaft & bearing.
Replaced the unit and the noise went away.

Check rear end oil to be sure it’s not low. Also check to see if looks like fresh clean oil or dirty, gritty with any type of shiny particles suspended in it like metal filings.
Knowing this will help eliminate rear gears as the noise.
