EZGO RXV "Freedom" mode
Hi, new here. Just bought a 2010 RXV golf cart. It currently runs 15 mph. I've read on here people doing the "freedom" mode to get it to 19.5. I thought I read where we could send the controller and he would do it. Am I correct? I called a dealer and they wanted to charge $150 and I bring the cart to them. Seemed a little high to me, but I'm a newbie at this cart thing. Thanks for your time.

Re: EZGO RXV "Freedom" mode
Knowing how much one use of the passkey costs, and the amount of labor involved, it is high, but not really "astronomical". The unlock key from Ezgo is far from free, and can only unlock 20 cars before it's "used up". Not everyone knows how to do it for free, and not everyone should (the access level required opens up a LOT of stuff the end user should not be touching, could hurt yourself, make the cart unsafe, or destroy expensive parts).

Re: EZGO RXV "Freedom" mode
Dumb question here
A 2010, unless it’s been converted will have a grey Danaher controller in it. I didn’t think the Danaher’s used a key? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: EZGO RXV "Freedom" mode
Correct. A 2010 has the older controller. 2012 and above is the Curtis controller.

Re: EZGO RXV "Freedom" mode
So to put the Danaher in Freedom Mode, requires a Danaher Handheld programmer, and not the key?

Re: EZGO RXV "Freedom" mode
Ok, you all caught me (not paying attention).. this is a danaher, so no passkey. Correct, it uses a password entered into the handset
