Default broken magnet CC DS. Must I replace it?

tag says 2001 DS regen but dont know if motor is original. found magnet shattered but it doesnt look like any of the ones i see for sale. can anyone help me ID it? it is smaller than a dime and held on motor shaft with a 3.5mm machine screw.
motor is 101854501 5BC59JBS6251C. it uses a different sensor also.
Do i need to replace the magnet on this model motor? Or can i bypass the OBC since it may be bad too. My property is completely flat. dont have batteries yet to test.
Thanks again for any help. I have been reading posts but there is so much info here and so many variations.
Roy

The magnet is used by the controller to determine the motor rpm.
The OBC is the smart part of a smart charger which doesn't use the magnet.
I've been using a Modz Max48 smart charger for a couple of months after deleting the OBC, works fine.

yeah i guess my post was a bit confused.
the magnet triggers the hall effect sensor to determine motor speed. the magnet may have multiple poles in it too.
Do you know the magnet part number? i have not seen it listed when i search.
Or can the speed sensor be bypassed completely with this controller and motor. from what ive read, it makes a difference which model you have.
Thanks

I think I found the magnet. only place ive seen it.
So, $50 for a magnet smaller than a dime...or don't use speed sensor.
What do yall think?

The only reason to replace it is if you want to keep the Regen brake.

That model cart will run faster without the magnet/speed sensor.
