Default Ezgo pds limp mode first then lost all ignition

I’ve been trying to troubleshoot this ‘04 I had forward and reverse at reduced speed.
3 beep code then 3-2 once then 4/2 continuous
I found number 6 wire (blue) in the 10 pin (j1) with zero volts all other points suggested had the proper volts with key on in forward and pedal pressed enough to engage the micro switch.
I Touched the blue wire to the yellow side of the solenoid for a split second And lost ignition at the key. Are there any fuses and how do I fix the zero voltage in wire 6 (which appears to be grounded) and now the yellow wire is grounded as well

The blue wire is the ground for the solenoid and will activate as ground when the pedal is pushed. Touching that to yellow caused a direct short. If you are lucky it might have just taken out the reed switch or the pedal micro switch. If not it could have taken out the controller. Do you have any power on the pins now?

10 is getting voltage going through the reverse buzzer and 5 is connected to the battery side of the solenoid. If pin 4 is dead the reed switch in the charger receptacle is toast. Connect it to the white wire in the receptacle or disconnect it on the passenger side and hook it to pack positive. Won’t fix the original problem but might get it moving again.

Bypassed the reed switch and the ignition is working again, thank you sir. For some reason the cart sounds like it has the full 12 mph back. It’s jacked in the rear and raining out for a test. I do hear some variation in speed at WOT seems to smooth out after a bit. Should this be cause for concern?

No. That would be the controller slowing it down once it reached the rpm it is set to.. Probably blue or yellow chip in controller.

Also not a good idea to run it wide open long on stands..

I also have same voltage on both sides of solenoid so look like I need a new resister

Resistor is there to charge the capacitors with the solenoid off. When the solenoid is not activated there will be pack voltage on the battery side and just a little less on the controller side. Won’t affect how the cart runs.

Went back and looked and a 3-2 code is a bad welded solenoid. 4-2 says the cart is stalled.. Solenoid is probably bad or failing..

Thank you, codes are gone now. Is there anything valid on the freedom chip? Also is there an interval in changing rearend fluid? I bought this off the original private owner who lived on a golf course.
