Reducer blowing fuse after getting wet
Was hosing the cart down on Saturday, and put it in tow mode, and gave the batteries a light spray down. I may have inadvertently given the reducer/fuse block a quick shower as well.
Later that evening, I noticed my horn and lights weren't working. Checked the in-line 20amp fuse on the reducer on Sunday and it was blown. Everything looked to be all dry by then. I disconnected the main wire harness on the reducer, replaced the fuse, but as soon as I plug it all back in, it blows the fuse again. In the meantime, I just ran my +/- leads for my lights directly to 2 batteries just so I could have lights. I pulled the reducer out, and put it in a tupperware bowl of rice. Maybe give it another day or two for everything to dry out more and try again? Seems like if everything is dry, it shouldn't pop the fuse anymore. |

Re: Reducer blowing fuse after getting wet
well after a week of drying out, still blowing fuse, and saw a couple of the pin connectors in the reducer harness were burnt up.
