Default What size of converter/reducer ?

Sorry for the dumb question, but I not good at electrical conversions. The reducer in my cart needs replacing..it is a 36v to 12v. Rated power is 120W with max being 250W, it has an 8amp fuse. In looking at the threads on the site and ebay sellers, they all talk in being 10amps or 20amps etc. what is the conversion from Watts to Amps ? or is there ..bottom line, what size reducer do I need ? or should I just go big

thanks
joe

so mine right now is 10 amps with a peak of 20 amps. thanks, the cart currently has, a radio, two small speakers, turn signals, brake lights, head lights with a high and low settings and a horn. The original was made in Hungary and they wanted over 200 euro plus shipping so I gotta find something local....as in US. :-)

thanks again
