This kind of jumped out at me while reading through the thread. Just make sure that Your cord is adequate.
I think DPI gives extension cord specs in their owners manual.

Electronic components dislike undervoltages as much as overvoltages.

For that matter, even an older garage or shed may have undersized wiring. You could use an AWG 2 extension cord, but still might have excessive voltage drop before you even got to the extension cord.

Most houses should be adequate, but if you have an added separate garage...

A quick check on the "in service" voltage being supplied to the charger should quickly put this issue to rest.

well wouldnt you know...2 weeks before we leave for vacation the charger will not even power up

Be sure to plug something else into the 120v plug/cord you use for the charger to verify 120v is present.

Lightening got the circuit board in my DPI Accusense charger. Have you had storms?

That's certainly not the norm or even a high minor percentage. Contact DPI tech support and see if they want to send you another circuit board.
