Default Resistor wiper contact board

I've got a question about my contact board that my wiper runs across. It seems that the wiper doesn't go all the way to the last contact. It looks like it is only passing over the first four and not reaching the fifth.

I know I need to replace the wiper itself, it is pretty worn down. Is there an adjustment that I can make to make it cross the entire board? Am I missing out on power or speed because it is not going all the way?

'82 ezgo marathon. good batts. 4 guage cables.

Take the rod loose from the wiper and adjust it to get full travel. Yes it want run wide open if it doesn't get the last contact.
