its rather high priced put you money somewhere else.
i like your style gaminde!

i speculated one these could be built with a 4000 series logic ic back a few months or so ago. link. my cart is a series cart, so i never built one up to test. but ya, i picked the CD4013BE because of it's 18v limit.

do the connectors have a manufacturer's name/part number stamped on them? if they are the same manuf as the mcor plug, i helped someone here source the pins sometime back. i'll try to dig it up.

the other thought i had was to use a µC with a pot or rotary encoder to make the amount of "boost" continuously variable. it could even be used to limit the speed below 12mph for kids or other liability concerns.

good stuff!

Mine has a switch connector for mode select if your cart is mode 2 then you will have either mode 2 or 4 if its set up for mode 3 then you will have 3 and 4
18 volts chip is a great idea. I was to excited to do any more research!! just had to build it, and had the regulators on hand. now Im looking for 30 mph

AND its also half the price!

30 is my goal as well... seems like a reasonably safe top speed for on-road use.

lame! if it were my cart, that connector would be in the bottom of the trash can and in it's place would be 6 fresh bullets/spades/powerpoles/etc.

Sonicj
Mine means my design, I am not selling anything, I freely gave the schematic and prototype layout.

2 plugs (you hate)
1 perf board 3.00
1 390 chip 2.50
1 5 volt reg 2.00
1 resistor .50
1 cap .50
3 wire 4.00

less than 30$, now if you could come up with a higher voltage divide chip it could be wired right to the chip and then potted. and your correct loose the connector and this thing would be lots cheaper but then if something goes wrong it would not be as easy fix, pull it out and just plug it in back to stock.

and quit shooting trash cans they leak when you do that!!!!
