first cart, 69de only 2nd gear
Hey guys this is my first cart if all goes well it wont be the last. I have a 69de with some issues. i just replaced the batteries and battery cables and was only able to get it to run in 2nd gear or 3rd im not really sure to be honest.
Is there any kind of service manual available to help trouble shoot, and also where do you guys order your parts for something that old. Thanks Phil714 |

 to BGWThese Harley electric carts are insanely complex. Does your solenoid cover have a wiring diagram on the back side? I would double check every wire. When I first got my cart, it wouldn't go past 2nd speed either. Turns out my batteries were just weak. |

I'll send you a pic of that wiring diagram tomorrow. Looks like your '69 has the same drive system as my '68. I've even got the original service manual file, I'll attach it here tomorrow.
