Default Batteries bubbling

Okay I can understand your batteries bubbling while being charged, but while they are sitting outside the cart? I took them out yesterday around 12 pm and the tops were all dry. Now I periodically here some bubbling from them and there is some liquid on the top of a couple of them and I could here them bubble. When I opened one I also saw a few bubbles rise.

What is going on is this normal?

Sorry to be asking so many questions on here, but I am just trying to learn.

Thanks,
Buddy

I wanted to add that they are not overfilled!! About 1/4 to 1/2" below the fill tube.

It's normal. A lead-acid battery uses a reversible chemical reaction to store energy. When you use the battery it will release bubbles as it creates the power you need to run the cart.

Thanks Doug!! I called East Penn and asked them and a lady there said "Oh, well your batteries are at the end of their useful life".

My batteries test good from a load tester. SO....

I can conclude one of two things from her statement:

1. She wanted me to buy another set of batteries to keep her employed or...
2. Deka batteries aren't the best obviously since they are only 3 years and 1 month old and they have reached the "end of their useful life"!!!!
