Ignition coil or igniter. They are both separate on that year. I replaced my coil and there was no change even though mine looked original from 1995. After i replaced my igniter it works perfect!

Low on the front of the motor right above the drain plug there is a black box with a brown wire attached to ground, remove the brown wire from ground and try it.

So when i pull the brown wire loose, I need to see if plug is firing? Ill work on it this PM. If it fires does that mean bad igniter? Ill check this PM. Thanks

That is the rev limiter. If it fires it needs to be replaced or some people just leave them disconnected but as the name implies, it is a safety feature.

Re: 1995 Club Car-quit firing
The other possibility is the iginition coil. Mine quit sparking one day too. Changed out the rev limiter and ignitor because I was told that was 100% the problem. It wasn't.
On mine the coil was rusty and delaminated enough to where it would not function. Changing the coil without taking the engine out is loads of fun. You can't get the shroud off without pulling the engine, but I just removed all the bolts I could, and pried the cover out enough to change the coil. Not fun but lots less work than pulling the engine. |

Re: 1995 Club Car-quit firing
It sounds like i need to replace all 3 parts. I'm pretty sure they have probably not been changed before i got the cart. Fun, Fun!!!

Re: 1995 Club Car-quit firing
You can replace the ignition coil with the newer style and ditch the ignitor all together. Call David hicks at revolution golf cars for a good price on oem parts. Don’t do the aftermarket ones, they’re not much cheaper and won’t last very long.
