Default 2019 EZGO Express S4 Electric Purchase

Hello all,

I’m new to the forum as I am nearing the purchase of a 2019 EZGO Express S4 electric cart. I’ve seen them advertised from $8,000 up to the low $9,000s. I’m trying to figure out a fair place to land keeping in mind that the dealer needs to make a few bucks as well. I’m not looking for a fancy color combo or two tone seats. Just simple black paint with tan seats which seems like a pretty common color combination. I’d like to get the 14” wheels that are offered and do not need the LED headlights that I’ve seen offered on the 2019 models. The dealer I am most comfortable with thus far is offering the one I want for just under $8,700. Am I right to think he’s got some room in that number? I also plan on purchasing around $1,600 in extras that the dealer will be installing (street legal kit, windshield, USB ports, seatbelts, bazooka sound bar, etc.).

So for example, if I tell the guy I want to be $8,250 on the cart and don’t bust his chops on his cost for the extras, am I out of line? It would of course be great to know what the dealer’s invoice cost is but that’s not information that I can find.

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Here in Florida I paid less for a 2019 ezgo 2five. The sticker was higher than your $9K example. My price included titling car with state of Florida (a few hundred bucks.).

I looked at many models and just asked for prices as I looked for them. The 2five price was an offer I couldn't refuse.

Thanks for your reply. Looks like the MSRP on your model is just under $10K. Did you pay the price the dealer initially quoted you or did you negotiate for a lower final price? If you negotiated, how much did the dealer come down from the price initially quoted?

The cart had $3,000 in additional options. So I just took their low $8199 price
