Mike I thank you for your input. I really value it.
The seat backs don't look different to me. I guess I need to put my eyes on them in person to see the difference. Can you explain what you mean? the pics look identical. Thanks again, Neal |

You'll see when you try to raise the seat to check the motor! On a 1999, the seat back is ATTACHED to the seat bottom. On the 2006, it is not. The cart in my avatar is the same base model as the 800 BTW...

Thanks Mike.
I would assume with some engineering and careful measuring the seat back configuration can be changed. Otherwise they are identical carts? How about front suspension in case I want to lift it. Is there a preference as far as year or are they the same? |

I'm not 100% on which steering assembly the MPT's had. They are probably going to have different steering assemblies on them, with the 1999 being old style and POSSIBLY the same on the MPT, but for some reason, I'm leaning towards the non-lifted MPT having the newer rack and pinion style (which ALL EZGO's are now buily with).

Yep, I wish I had the newer steering as well. I also prefer the plastic dump bed I actually mounted the seat back to the front of the bed.
This is my 97 1200, I spent about $100.00 in parts rebuilding the steering. I'm sayin buy both, take the best parts off the 800, replace with the stuff from the 1200, sell the 800 |
