Default Removing the air filter box

Ive been thinking about removing my air filter box on my G16 and replacing it with this-http://www.cartpartsplus.com/product...roducts_id=403

Does anyone have any pictures of how to mount this on. I know the airbox connects to a triangle shaped header, how can I get this to work, and also will it add to the performance of the cart. I have the Plowmans exhaust and am ordering the Plowmans carb jetting on Monday, so it looks like an air filter upgrade is going to be needed.

That would work on a g14 but on a g16 the carburetor is held in place buy the air box you should buy the K&N filter that goes inside the air box

Also you would get a loud air intake does not sound good

I tried cone air filter & gone with a r-1050 k& N fitted inside the air box great power no noise

Here is the air filter that fits inside your air box:

I would recommend carburetor jets to compensate for the extra air.

Do you think the jetting and filter from cpp would work ok with my Plowmans pipe? Would it screw anything up?

Get a set of drill bits to clean cutting torches tips
& a digital micrometer, just go slow at drilling at bigger size & find the exact size you need

It should be around .046" inches with the new filter +or- a few mills

I am running a .062 but the head is ported

Much more fun doing it your self

want to sell your old G16 engine ?

ic746 if you want your cart to stay quiet dont put one of those airfilters on, i had a similar one on mine and it was louder than a dirtbike, i couldn't hear the person next to me.

So with a Cpp air filter I should drill about .46? I have a friend who used to race B@S engines and knows how to drill it out.

Does Plowmans do anything eles besides just drilling?

And which filter is better, the Plowmans or the CPP?

Thanks for all the help!
