I rely on the current limit on my Altrax controller for both overcurrent and Regen Current. My home grown BMS only actively handles overcharge protection. It has a real annoying alarm for undervoltage during operation.

Will you tell us which pack you put in and an update of how it’s going?

I assume you are asking me: Leaf pack - been in my cart four years now. It works great. I play four rounds of golf between charges including riding to and from the club. I have a 14 module pack with a home designed and built BMS.

I am looking into this currently to upgrade from my 36V to the 48V Leaf at the same time i am also getting the SR48500 Alltrax Series Controller plus 400 solenoid and adding a 6in Spindle Lift and 23in All Terrain tires. Would this be ok to use or should i stick with 48V Lead Acid?

Are you saying you are currently running a 36V leaf pack?

If so, are you using a BMS? What kind\brand if so?

I changed from a 48V lead acid, to 48V Leaf with a BMS and am very happy I did. Would do it again in a heartbeat!
