What year Club Car to Purchase

Afternoon Everyone,

New member and soon to be new owner of a club car. I have the opportunity to purchase a used golf course fleet cart. I am being told the years they have available for sale are 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2013 all DS gas models. I was quoted a price of $3100 to $3400 depending on year. There might be some wiggle room there since we know the superintendent. The course I am looking to purchase from is in a mountain/hill region of PA so the carts while not used a ton have been worked pretty well up and down hills.

So, can anybody provide thoughts/input on what year they would purchase and what they think a reasonable price is. I have been doing a bunch of research on this site for things to look out for but wanted to get some experienced opinions.

Impossible to answer without seeing them in person. But… I’d pick the ones with the best mechanical parts if you are buying just one and not looking to work on it much. Clutches and belt in particular, a pair of clutches and belts will be more than the $300 difference between the 2008 and the 2013. Assuming they’re all from the same course, they’ve all probably been maintained the same, and the newest one likely has the least wear/use being 5 years newer.

Otherwise, there is zero difference between any of them if they’re all DS’s. Just use, wear, and condition.

Thanks for the input CP. Yes these are all from the same course and have undergone yearly maintenance at a minimum.

Wasn't sure if there were any major mechanical differences between the years that are for sale or if one of those years has known issues.
