2019 ezgo efi won't start

I have a 2019 EZGO Express with 44 hrs. On it. Was driving along a just stopped running. Cranks but won't start. Took it to a certified EZGO dealer for repair. Was told it needs a ignition coil. Also told it will be November before he gets the part. Has anyone else had problems getting warranty parts. Also is this a high failure item. I can't seem to find any info on the EFI engine. Thanks

Only 44 hours? that's odd for a coil but anything is possible, If it's a warranty item suggest they rob one from another showroom cart and they can sit and wait for theirs!!

Is it a kawasaki or a KYMCO EX1?

It's the Kawasaki 13.5 hp

The ignition coil hasnt been a high failure item, however, I have replaced alot of ECUs. Its attached to the throttle body. For some reason the ground fails there and will kill the fuel pump relay.

Scott do you happen to know the Model # for the EFI engine used in the 2019 Express S4

Yeh I agree on the coil but it's not my call. I'm depending on the EZGO mech. to make that call. I mentioned to the shop that it will be bad sitting around waiting on a part that doesn't fix anything. I suggested that they rob one off another cart to verify that's the problem.

Its a Walbro EFI Kawasaki engine. The code on the engine is EFIA01-A. I dont doubt the coil went out. It happens and its unfortunate. Usually where I work we just take a part like that off a cart and repair the customer cart. We dont see a reason to make the customer wait months for a warranty item that we can easily replace. Id understand if it was something you did wrong but for something like a coil, we just fix theirs and wait. By the time they get yours, changes are your gas will be close to useless and youll foul your plug trying to make it run with old gas and the battery will be dead.

Just picked up one of those coils the other day. Ordered it by phone & next day when I picked it up they mentioned it was the last one they had. When they tried to reorder they were told it's on backorder - with no expected delivery date.
