^^^^----Yup. What Pat911, Volt_Amper (hey...is that french??), and Imapled said.----^^^^

Your cart is "demanding" more amps than the battery BMS is set to provide...so it cuts power to preserve it's "life".

My Leaf Lithium setup (much different than a drop 'n drive pack) has the Alltrax Controller set to a max "allowance" of 320amps of "juice to the motor".

My previous data files from hooking up my controller to a laptop and going for a ride indicated that (going up steep hills) a current draw of 395amps. Even for just a few seconds. Dialing back the max amps allowed to 320 has not decreased performance when needed, and allows the pack to run longer as all that "juice" isn't needed to climb that hill.

Thank you for all of the help! Other than dialing back the “juice” in controller, are the batteries capable or should I have gotten different ones? Just curious if I should have specified the ones I wanted instead of letting him choose the batteries or the number of them.

So, after changing the armature to 300 I was still causing the batteries to shut off at “punch”. Finally jumped down to 250 and they don’t shut off. With making the jump to 48v lithium, a 600A navitas controller and Plum Quick 16.7 HP Demon motor, I was expecting more. It seems that the batteries are the limiting factor at this point. Any recommendations, as I need to talk with the cart guy. He said these were the batteries I needed. Thanks again for all the help!

You still haven’t clarified how many batteries you have, or if all the batteries you have are operating correctly.

Two lithium batteries. 48v system. I just turned the switch off on one and the cart still goes.

Ok, try the other battery but I would think that two batteries just aren’t enough to run your cart effectively. The solution in a third battery or replace the two you have with a single battery that Dan run your cart correctly.

Well, that didn’t work! Turned the other battery off and both went dead. Turned it back on and they came back on.

Ah, so there's the answer! You have two batteries sitting in the cart but only one is wired in! Either that or one is dead due to not being charged or it's internally failed. That explains why your range is bad and it trips so quickly.

Yep, you need to find out why your cart is only being powered by one battery. Is it wired incorrectly or is it faulty?
