Default 1991 cc ds fix up/lithium enjoybot

Purchased my brother a 1991 36v resistor cc ds for Xmas. Good condition for its age. Needed batteries brother decided on enjoybot 12v 100ah x3 to get 36v. I know everyone will say 3 BMS’s batteries will go out of balance…… we will deal with that if and when the time comes. We installed the batteries last night, reading 39ish volts. Jumped in the cart and hit 15mph. Parked the cart plugged it in to fully charge the batteries. Brother text me after they were charged he hit 17mph. Very impressive compared to your typical 12-14 mph lead acid batteries which my cart originally did. Cart is a beater and will be slowly fixing her up. Headlight/taillight wiring is a mess. Brakes need to be cleaned/adjust. But she works. More to come

Hopefully you’re using a lithium charger and not the standard charger.

I’d expect to see a 36v lifepo4 to come to rest in the 40.x volt range. That would be 3.375v per cell

Yes, definitely must have a lithium specific charger.

Ran 8+ miles today dodging the rain. Adjusted the brakes, we’re on the softer side alot better now. Lost about 1 mph. 16.5 mph much better brake response. Changed out the rear end fluid all was good. Next the head light/ tail lights.

The reviews and you tube videos Ive seen on those batteries have all been positive. On an otherwise stockish cart they should work well. As others said you need a specific 3 stage lithium charger to charge them correctly and let them get full absorption at the top end. a regular lead acid charger will only charge them part way.
