If its a post MCI, stick a 295cc head on for nearly 20 hp instead of 12, then fit 25 inch tires on. Mine does over 35mph.

saw on E-Z-GO site there was a Sport II which is a 2 seater with bed and then a Sport 2+2 which is a four seater no bed

CM, a 1200 would be the long body. I see in the CC manual list they show the Sport II from 2006-2009 but hard to tell..

just informed me it is a 2002 per serial tag

the engine is a 352 2 cyl Subaru per the engine tag

would that make it an E-Z-GO Workhorse and Pre-MCI

Looks like I need to retire lol. Indeed the 1200 is long body, yes the Sport 2 was with bed not rear seats lol. I can't remember when the sport range was introduced but I thought the sport rear body was Txt cart style not utility style. Probably wrong again 😆.
The price is right, the seat back looks odd, more like the earlier mpt's but if you feel the price is right, probably worth getting. Once it is in your hands, anything can be fixed. I wonder too, if it started out with a steel bed hence the seat back, or just cobbled up at some point. I will shut up now and leave you guys to it.

I always thought the sport was a short version of the Workhorse ST (came lifted with a bed) reason for the way the seat back is attached. I think 2003 was the first MCI..

he did state that the seat was NOT correct, so assume it was swapped/replaced with whatever at some point in time
